The Kick Off Show is scheduled for this weekend! We are going to charge on even though there is rain coming our way.
Please find the new schedule below and please note that the start time on Saturday is depending on the rain but we will not start before 12.
We are also adding a $500 Pony Handy Challenge to be run on Sunday prior to the $500 2’ Handy Challenge.

2024 Rulebook Proposal
The AHJA Board of Directors is proposing adopting a new rulebook for 2024 and furfure years. Please take a few minutes to read through the proposed rulebook. Those who had a 2023 membership will be allowed to vote on its approval next week. Please email AHJApresident@gmail.com with any questions.

AHJA 2023 T-Shirts!
New AHJA shirts have just arrived. You can pick yours up at any show this fall. Sizes are limited but we will have them available until we run out. Shirts are $20 each and we have kids and adult sizes in two colors.
New Direction Events
New Direction Events will be hosting two weeks of showing this summer and both weeks have been sanctioned with the AHJA!
Summer Classic I: July 27-30
Summer Classic II: August 3-6
Both shows will be held at Chatt Hills in Fairburn GA.

Cameron Oaks & The Authentic Spring Classic
The Authentic Spring Classic on April 15th will now be held at Fox Lake Farm (4801 Valleydale Road, Birmingham, AL 35242).
The Cameron Oaks Show scheduled for April 16th has been canceled.

We are excited to be heading back to the beautiful Poplar Place Farm for our 2023 Kick Off Show scheduled for March 3-5, 2023.

Willa Rose Akins and Van D’Ark were major winners with weekend! Winning the $2500 Hunter Derby sponsored by Fig Street Marketing Group, the Endeavor Award for being the high scoring horse and rider in the handy round, the Junior Board Equitation Challenge Huntsville Ring, and additional champions in the AHJA Hunters and Junior/Amateur Hunters. Congratulations Rosie on a wonderful weekend.

Vintage Creek Show:
Beginner classes will now be held in the covered ring. Show is still scheduled to run on 8/27/2022 at Full Circle Horse Park.
Huntsville Pony Club:
The Huntsville Pony Club show will be relocated to Fox Lake Farm on 9/24/2022.

The AHJA is hiring!
The AHJA is hiring!!!!
The AHJA is currently looking for qualified individuals to fill the show secretary position. These candidates will need to be comfortable working a computer, have excellent people skills, and horse show experience is a plus but not required. Applicants need to be 18 or older.
Duties Include
- Setting up and publishing horse shows on HorseShowsOnline via a pre-approved prize list
- Processing entries on HorseShowsOnline and organizing back numbers and judges cards for show day
- Attend shows: accept payments, do adds/scratches, print class sheets for show staff, print financials, input judges cards, and close out show
- Post show results to HorseShowsOnline and update year to date standings for the membership
- Answer basic questions regarding AHJA rules
This position takes roughly 18 hours per show (this includes attending the show) and covers two to three shows per month from March to the first week of November.
This is a paid position that pays per show and includes mileage. Interested parties should inquire with by emailing AHJApresident@gmail.com
